Auntie-Ann does not read from books!
She paints pictures in children's minds, awakening the imagination and enlivening the senses! Auntie-Ann can incorporate sound effects, music, rhymes, puppets, dancing, poetry, disco lighting, bubbles, games, and more into her sessions!!
************ Storytelling is excellent for entertaining young people in many environments including; schools, nurseries, birthday parties, slumber parties, weddings, charity events, public events and private functions!
Auntie-Ann is disability aware...
Auntie-Ann has two wonderful boys. One is autistic with developmental delay, and the other has complex neurodevelopmental disorder. Both boys view the world from a slightly differently angle to their peers. Auntie-Ann knows from first hand experience, just how important little details are for special children! Auntie-Ann tailors each session. She can create a quiet, calm setting for timid children. Or she can use sensory enhancing props and lighting for the sensory seekers!
Whatever your requirements, Auntie-Ann carefully checks every detail to ensure that her clients' need are being met. If requested, Auntie-Ann can even produce a "first and then" board, (to help guide her clients through the activities)!

For peace of mind
I am CRB checked, (enhanced disclosure).
I am a non-smoker.
I hold a food handlers health and hygiene certificate. Therefore I am able to help with food preparation/distribution if needed.
I am covered by PLI.
A fully equpped first aid kit is available.
When hosting parties I do not use strobe effect lighting, (it can cause seizures in epileptic children).
When hosting parties I do not use smoke machines. Smoke/fog machines can cause severe distress to children and adults who suffer from respiratory illness or infections such as asthma, bronchitis, colds and other infections.
When hosting parties I do not use laser effect lighting. Lasers look great, but they can cause permanent damage to eyesight, (in extreme cases they can cause blindness).
